Yesterday felt like the sad last day of school.
And it was a wonderful feeling. It was the satisfied and thankful kind of sad.
On the other side of ship30for30, maybe it’s time to reassess.
The best part about reaching goals is that you realized you had what it took all along. Then you start thinking why did I set such a small goal in the first place?
So where to go from here?
- Pace: 30 essays in 30 days seemed dauting in the beginning. So does 500. Let’s go there and see where it takes us.
- Content: am done with the played-out tropes concerning optimism and self-development. These will certainly still be major themes for me, but more within a broader context involving stories.
- New Frontiers: Threads on Tuesdays. Is that tomorrow? Oh shit. (Editor’s Note: complete fail on this, still created zero threads)
- The website: Oh yeah, all the essays from the last 30 days as well as the next 470 will be posted to the website as well. (dontlikeitgetbetter.com)
Oliver Wendell Holmes once said, “Greatness is not in where we stand but in what direction we are moving. We must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it—but sail we must and not drift, nor lie at anchor.”
Whatever this is, it’s far from greatness.
But it’s a new dawn and a new day, and I’m feeling good.
