Interlude of Gratitude

Despite travel in the time of Covid, it was a good day.

It was good to eat Cuban breakfast.

It was good to catch up with a good friend’s wife as they expect their first child. I remember those feelings of anticipation before everything changed.

While it was a hot and humid day in Florida, the swimming pool still felt great and company was equally refreshing.

We played a beautiful disc golf course this afternoon as the sun set.

We had a shrimp boil and then went swimming again to wash away the dust and spicy seafood seasonings.

I wish I could find adequate words to find some pearl of wisdom in a day like today, but the truth is I’m just grateful to have it.

Hold on to the good things in your life. Find happiness and friendship wherever you go and you’ll never be a stranger.

Live triumphantly.
