The Homestretch

Tomorrow we go home for the final stretch of 2021.

Christmas is in the books.

It was wonderful to see family and friends, and our hearts and stomachs are totally full.

All we have left is a couple hectic days of work. The sales game only stops when the clock runs out.

While the final accounting for the year that was will come in a few days, it’s hard not to think ahead.

It’s been a year of incredible growth.

Growth in personal terms. Growth in the professional arena. Growth as a father and as a husband (depending on the day). Growth in terms of being a better friend and colleague.

Growth in terms of creativity and writing.

And finally, growth in terms of the amazing people those creative exploits have let me to connecting with.

I write about it all the time, but it’s true.

If you don’t like things the way they are; if you feel like you aren’t fulfilling your potential; if you think you’re not making the most of your time here; don’t get down on yourself.

What you do today can improve all your tomorrows.

I did some things this year that made me healthier, wealthier and wiser.

I’ll take the next few days writing in greater detail about each of these parts, and how the sum of those parts is an even more exciting result.

Hasta mañana.
