This may not be a popular opinion among tough men, but I’m going to say it.
If it were up to males to birth our young, we’d have gone extinct millennia ago.
I relish my role as a father. But I also know the score since I have two little boys. Mom rules the roost.
One of the most amazing things about becoming a father was seeing my wife transform from a driven career woman into a fabulous mother and driven career woman. It should go without saying, but I want my boys to see their mother as a successful leader both inside and outside the house. I want them to see that women are powerful, talented, and capable.
Just like Nicki Minaj said, she can “drop an album and drop (birth) a baby, but never drop the ball.” (parenthesis mine)
Becoming parents has been the greatest challenge and the greatest pleasure of our lives. But our kids are young, so we are tired AF. That being said, I think we both recognize that our time in this stage of parenthood is fleeting.
Soon the days of being able to make everything better with a bottle of milk will be long-gone.

In the meantime, I hope my wife soaks it in tomorrow as she deserves all the love and relaxation she can handle.
