Take Action and Do the Damn Thing

If you could do ONE thing to change your life in an instant, would you do it?

Most of us won’t.

There is one thing that can change our lives in an instant.

Taking action.

It seems so simple.

But most of us know it’s not so simple.

If it was that easy, we’d all be living our best lives as the best versions of ourselves.

But it’s not. And we aren’t.

Usually because courageously taking action towards our most important aspirations is difficult.

And it takes time.

And consistent effort.

And there is no cheering section or fan club along the way to tell us to keep going and it’s all going to work out.

We expect too much in the beginning while we are on the grind.

We think we should be rewarded for being on the grind.

And when our entire world doesn’t change overnight, we get discouraged.

But here is the thing: we don’t have the change the world all at once.

Small changes in behavior, keying on those few vital behaviors, can lead to dramatic changes in our lifestyle and quality of life.

So if we want to do something, all we have to do, is do it.

Because champions are not made at pep rallies.

If we don’t find the highest expression of our talents, if we just settle for something merely interesting; we have missed the opportunity of our lives.

We live in extraordinary times and for those who are willing to fight for it, life will have a flavor that few will ever know.

It starts with doing one thing.

Then another.

Then another.

Stop waiting for the things you want to come to you.

Take action and do the damn thing.
